Until some in the past, the home sparrow was the essential ‘chidiya’, the most typical picture to come to thoughts when one mentioned wildlife in Delhi’s downtown perspective. One day it dawned on the town that the little feathery monster has more or less disappeared, its lack even more noticeable by the rapid over-population of best pigeons. Lastly, the sparrow has been identified for its significance in the town’s bio-diversity. On Wednesday, it was announced the state bird of Delhi.
